1. Power selection
Generally, the selection basis of the medium frequency induction heating power supply is based on the diameter of the pipe. Generally, 60kw is recommended for a diameter of 500mm, and 100kw is recommended for a diameter of 500-1200mm.
2. Frequency selection
Combining theory and practical effects, a frequency of 2K-5KHz is the best choice for both efficiency and heating effect.
3. Research on the temperature distribution of the workpiece by the heating frequency of the intermediate frequency heating equipment
Example: In order to study the temperature distribution of the heating of a tubular workpiece by frequency, we use computer simulation to select currents of 500HZ, 2KHZ and 10KHZ to heat a steel pipe with an outer diameter of 300mm, a wall thickness of 50mm, a total length of 900mm, and a heating zone length of 500mm.

Results analysis and Conclusion
When the heating current is the same, the lower the frequency, the deeper the penetration depth and the longer it takes to heat to the same temperature. It can be seen that the higher the frequency, the faster the heating speed and the shallower the penetration depth.
The lower the frequency, the better the temperature uniformity of the pipeline heating.
However, when the frequency is too low, the heating efficiency is also low, so the frequency selection needs to be comprehensively considered based on the heating efficiency and uniform temperature. While ensuring that the temperature uniformity meets the requirements, the heating efficiency is maximized.
According to the above experimental results, the intermediate frequency heating equipment with a frequency of 2K-5KHZ should be selected in actual production to achieve the best treatment effect and production efficiency.
