Hydrogen cracking is a fatal problem in the welding process. If hydrogen cracking occurs in the welding process, it means that it needs to be repaired, which will waste a lot of time and money. In the welding process, hydrogen is very easy to flow. It may come from the atmosphere, welding filler metal, or the oxide, grease and oil on the workpiece surface are not cleaned before welding, which are the factors of hydrogen cracking.
Therefore, pre welding preheating, interlayer insulation and post welding hydrogen elimination are very necessary. Generally speaking, oxygen fuel and propane torch are usually used for pre welding preheating and interlayer insulation, and resistance machine and oven are usually used for post welding heat treatment. However, these heating methods have disadvantages. In case of different workpiece sizes and complex working environment, heating cannot be carried out, and even the problem of uneven heating will occur.

During induction heating, heat is induced electromagnetically by placing parts in an alternating magnetic field generated by an induction heating cable or blanket cooled by liquid or air. The magnetic field generates eddy current in the part, excites the molecules of the part and generates heat from the part.
